Based in the TEC Hub, our recycling depot is open to the community, taking waste that can’t go into your weekly kerbside recycling.
Below is a full list of what we do and do not recycle:
Batteries
We take the following kinds of batteries: Lithium polymer, lithium ion, lithium ion phosphate, button cell, coin cell, nickel cadmium, and alkaline batteries. This includes rechargeable batteries. We accept household batteries of all sizes. We do not recycle car batteries.
Batteries must not go in the bin. The chemicals in batteries can be very dangerous if not disposed of correctly. If you have questions about battery recycling or disposal, please contact us.
Tetra Paks
We take all Tetra Pak products. Tetra Paks must be fully cut open, laid flat, with the cap screwed on. It must be washed and cleaned, if it is dirty it cannot be recycled.
